After reading book 2 of this series I couldn’t resist Tricia’s next installment in the ongoing story of the Stevenson’s raising their grandchildren after a tragic loss for all. This is book 7 in the Home to Heather Creek saga and I find myself even more attached to this family and their journey through some very difficult times the more I read about them.

In the midst of a severe winter storm, Sam, the oldest grandchild and the one who best remembers their father, sets out to find the man who abandoned them after discovering an address in Colorado during a research session on the net. Sam’s withdrawal and unhappiness prior to this has worried the entire family and his disappearance brings even more struggles to light while reopening old sores from an earlier runaway in the family. Can Heather Creek Farm ever become home to Sam as it seems to be doing for his siblings, can he find closure and a way to leave behind the father who left a gaping hole in their lives and move forward with his own life or will he be forever chasing the wind to track the man down if this trip isn’t successful? Be sure to check out this recent addition to the story of a family’s faith and struggles to find their way in a changing world.
