Another baffling mystery faces Elizabeth and her best friend Jeff the night of their end-of-year school dance. Traveling a dark road in the midst of the countryside, a mysterious fog envelops their vehicle and they nearly collide with an equestrian who appears to belong to a different place and time. Dressed in a cloak and “tights” this gentleman also carries a sword which they later discover resembles Excalibur to the T. Can King Arthur of medieval British legend have somehow landed in 21st century America by mistake or is he as wacked out as everyone seemed to think Elizabeth was a few weeks ago when she landed in another person’s shoes? Jeff’s cousin and guardian Malcolm and their housekeeper Mrs. Packer are convinced that Arthur has to get to England to perform some urgent mission only he can. How in the world a man without identifying documents or records or even a passport will make it out of America in this day and age is anyone’s guess but the story of their attempts and the misundertandings that ensue with a medieval king in modern cities and towns makes for a comedy of errors that a variety of readers can enjoy. Malcolm’s attempts to explain who they are, his theory of the Time Fault based on Jeff and Elizabeth’s previous adventures as well as historical evidence of events in Fawlt Line over the years, and Arthur’s adventures while pursuing his mission in modern England could become legendary in their own right. Be sure and follow Jeff and Elizabeth’s time adventures in this exciting new series. (ISBN#9780310714378, 240pp, $9.99)
