If you can't wait for my drawing then use the bookcover link to buy your own copy. If you're not sure about this book read Monday's post and use the bookcover for more info as well.

Leave your comment here sharing a favorite historical period, setting, or event you've enjoyed reading about in novels or a favorite historical novel for a chance to win a copy but don't forget to leave a way to contact you or I'll have to exclude your comment from the drawing. Emails can be disguised yourname[at]emaildomain[dot]com to avoid spammers. Also sorry but postage is terribly expensive so I can only send this to US or Canadian addresses. Drawing will be on Friday October 24. There are two copies up for grabs.

That is a really tough question! Only one? I love historical fiction the best so i would have to say that one of my all time favorite times to read about, even though it was one of the hardest is World War 2/Holocaust times. i really love Tricia Goyer's books.
i would love to win this book! i really enjoy Susan's other books!

Enter me in the drawing. This features an interesting time period that not a lot of fiction books are out there about.

As odd as this sounds, I enjoyed John Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath" Reading about the Joad family selling what they can and heading to California to find hope, a future and dignity is so moving to me. I know that it is during the Great Depression and that there is a sadness there, but I see so much hope in that story. I learned from it how important family is. I would love to be enterred into your drawing. Thanks for the chance.

Hmmm. I really enjoy most historical fiction. I also loved Witch of Blackbird Pond as a teen, and then again reading it with m kids as they grew up. But I guess my favorite time period and place woul be Scotland and Ireland in the middle ages.

I'm excited to read The Shape of Mercy.

I am fascinated by all American history. One of my great-great-many-times-great-uncles was President of the United States in Congress Assembled. I also like the Western expansion and Civil War years.

Thanks for the chance to win!
