Change and Cherish Series by Jane Kirkpatrick and a Giveaway

Her Change and Cherish series follows the life of a German communal group who migrates from Bethel, Missouri to what was then called Oregon Territory and at the time encompassed much of the states of Oregon and Washington. We primarily get the story from the perspective of Emma Wagner Giesy who is a fiesty young woman raised in this commune. As always Jane has woven a thread of faith and growth into the stories of the people she brings to life for the reader.

I love her wonderful descriptions of the landscape, people and their experiences throughout the writings I've read and this series is no exception. Read my review of Book 1, A Clearing in the Wild. I will also post reviews of the other two books soon.

Be sure and leave a comment here for a chance to win the third book in this series. US Mailing addresses only please. Also don't forget to leave me a way to contact you in your comment so I can reach the winner for an address to mail the book to. Emails can be left in a format such as forest_rose[at]yahoo[dot]com to avoid the spambots.

I will be drawing a winner next Fri so all comments left between now and 11:59PM on Thurs May 1 will have a chance at the book.

You can purchase any of the books by clicking on the cover graphics as well as read other reviews from readers and hop on over to Jane's website for more info about her and all her books.

Happy Saturday! I think that Jane Kirkpatrick is a wonderful historical writer. The story of Emma and her untimely behavior makes me think she was had a bit of feminist in her. Please enter me in your book drawing.
I appreciate it.....Cindi
