The following was stated about Madeleine L'Engle's writing career in an AP article picked up by the Seattle Post Intelligencer Books section and posted to it's webfeed Friday evening September 7.
I was surprised but pleased to see the media, who often avoid issues of "religion" and "faith" especially related to Christianity, affirming and encouraging Ms. L'Engle for that very thing. Too bad this article was released as an obituary but kudos to the AP for celebrating her career and faith publicly.
"The Newbery Medal winner wrote more than 60 books, including fantasies, poetry and memoirs, often highlighting spiritual themes and her Christian faith."
